1. Cookies and similar technologies

Tech Decode is a static website built with Astro. We use cookies and browser storage for website preferences, analytics and advertising. This notice describes the current site and replaces the former WordPress cookie inventory.

2. Website preferences

The theme selector stores your light or dark preference in your browser's local storage under td-theme. This is not a cookie and is not sent to our server by the theme selector. It remains until you clear site data or change the preference.

3. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand visits and how readers use the site. Google Analytics loads only after you allow analytics in Privacy settings. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish browsers and maintain session information. These are typically configured for up to two years, although actual storage depends on Google's settings and your browser. Analytics is not described here as fully anonymous.

4. Google AdSense

The AdSense tag loads on eligible pages to deliver Google’s published advertising consent message. Google handles advertising consent and eligibility through that message. Ad serving depends on Google's approval and settings; the AdSense script is excluded from our 404 error page. Google and its partners may use cookies and related technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on previous visits to this or other websites. The exact cookies and retention periods depend on the ads, provider settings, browser and applicable consent choices.

5. Contact form

Our contact form sends the information you submit to Web3Forms so your message can reach our editorial email address. The static site does not provide a WordPress login, shopping cart or WordPress preference cookies. Read the Web3Forms privacy policy for its handling of submitted information.

6. Your choices

You can block or delete cookies and clear local storage through your browser's privacy settings. Clearing local storage removes the saved theme preference. Blocking third-party scripts or cookies may affect analytics and advertising. Google's advertising preferences are separate from your browser settings. Use the Privacy settings button to accept or reject optional analytics and revisit advertising choices through the configured Google consent message. Your analytics choice is saved in local storage under td-consent-v1 for up to 180 days. The advertising message must be published for this site in AdSense Privacy & messaging.
